About Alissa

Alissa Ketterling graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2005 with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.

She started her career as a speech-language pathologist working for a private practice in Casper, WY. Through this clinic, she provided therapy for adults and children (ages three and up). She also worked at schools and traveled to a small town in Wyoming to provide services to children birth to five in their homes and at the Child Development Center. Additionally, she provided swallowing and cognitive-language therapy to nursing home patients.

Currently, Alissa primarily provides services to children one to two years of age in their homes through the Idaho Infant Toddler Program. She has been working with this age-group consistently since 2007 and very much enjoys working with the toddlers and their families. She also provides services at the CTP Nampa clinic and other pediatric contacts as needed.

Alissa enjoys seeing children make functional progress to effectively communicate with their families and others. She highly values parent suggestions and participation because parents are the experts on their children. Parents often see consistent, measurable progress when they learn and apply functional teaching skills throughout daily life with their children.

Alissa holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as speech-language pathology licensure in the state of Idaho.
